It is rumored that Apple will be changing the size of its iPhone series in 2024. The iPhone 16 Pro models will reportedly sport larger displays than their predecessors.

Reliable sources indicate that the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will have displays that are approximately 6.9 inches and 6.3 inches in size, respectively. Compared to the existing 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, this is a substantial increase.

The total dimensions are slightly larger due to the increase in display size. Both Pro models will have the same thickness but be slightly wider and taller than their 2023 equivalents.

This change in size may have multiple effects. Apple may be able to implement larger batteries for longer battery life, which is a popular user request, thanks to the larger form factor. Furthermore, the larger display area can make room for future internal modifications or display enhancements.

Rumor has it that these size adjustments are only available on the Pro models for now. It is anticipated that the normal iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will keep their present 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays. Rumors, however, indicate that Apple may include the larger 6.27- and 6.85-inch screens to its regular iPhone models starting with the 2025 iPhone 17 series. All iPhones may eventually have a taller 19.6:9 aspect ratio as a result of this.

Keep in mind that these data should be regarded with a grain of salt because they are based on recent rumors and leaks. As usual, Apple is expected to release the iPhone 16 series in September, giving them ample time to adjust their strategy. However, this change in the Pro models’ display sizes points to an intriguing advancement in Apple’s iPhone strategy.
