The ROG Phone 8 series was introduced by ASUS to the worldwide market last week at CES in Las Vegas. The ASUS ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro have now been released by the Taiwanese company in the Chinese market.

Prices and availability of the ASUS ROG Phone 8 series in China
The price of the ASUS ROG Phone 8 is CNY 4,799 (~673) for the 12GB RAM option and CNY 5,299 (~$743) for the 16GB RAM option. Native storage of 256GB is included with both versions. The ROG Phone 8 Pro is priced at CNY 5,999 (~841) for the 16GB + 512GB model and CNY 7,999 (~1,122) for the 24GB + 1TB model. Pre-orders for both phones are currently open in China, and sales are scheduled to begin on January 18.
Specs of the ASUS ROG Phone 8 series
With the most recent generation of ROG Phones, ASUS has abandoned the heavily game-inspired design. These days, the gadgets resemble common smartphones. With a dual-tone back panel and a squarish rear camera module, they have a somewhat boxy appearance.
While the pro version has a mini-LED lightning with 341 LEDs, the basic model has a customisable Aura RGB lightning logo. Dust and water resistance are rated IP68 for the ROG Phone 8 duo. Both devices have a 5-magnet speaker system and AirTrigger buttons for gaming.
Previous ROG phones had substantial bezels surrounding the screen. The most recent version of the gaming smartphones features a punch-hole display that is centered and has tiny bezels all around. A 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 165Hz LTPO refresh rate, 2,500 nits peak brightness, an integrated fingerprint scanner, and glove touch capability is featured on the ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor is housed inside the ROG Phone 8 series. The pro model has a maximum capacity of 1TB and 24GB respectively, while the normal form has a maximum capacity of 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. For heat dispersion, there is a conduction cooling system.
Compared to its predecessor, the AeroActive Cooler attachment is now lighter and smaller. A 5,500mAh battery that supports 65W conventional and 15W wireless charging powers both phones. Additionally, the devices have a number of AI functions.
A 32MP telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom and OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP main camera with OIS are all featured on the ASUS ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro. A 32MP RGBW selfie camera is present.
