According to a PTI report, a special screening of the recently released film Dunki, starring Shah Rukh Khan, is scheduled for December 28 in India, with representatives from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, South Korea, and Australia in attendance.
“With its compelling story, the film has brought a significant subject to the masses that speaks about the illegal immigrants who take the donkey route to go abroad,” said a member of filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani’s team. During its successful run in theaters, a special screening for several nations’ consulates will be conducted on December 28th.”
Representatives from Belgium, Germany, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Spain, Turkey, and the Netherlands are also expected to attend the event.
Dunki uses the ‘donkey flying’ technique to explore illegal immigration and unauthorized entry into another country. For the first time, Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu share the screen with a stellar ensemble cast that includes Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover.
The soundtrack to the film is upbeat and emotive, including songs like Lutt Putt Gaya, Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se, O Maahi, Chal Ve Watna, Banda, and Main Tera Rasta Dekhunga.
