Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun recently confirmed that the company’s main flagship device for both the Chinese and global markets will be the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. This fueled speculation that the launch would take place at the MWC. Popular tipper Digital Chat Station, on the other hand, has released some contradictory information.
The OPPO Find X6 and Honor Magic5 series, according to Digital Chat Station, will be released shortly after Chinese New Year. On January 22, the Chinese New Year is observed. Given the length of the festivities, both lineups are expected to debut in the middle to end of February. However, the leaker insists that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will not be released until later.
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is unlikely to be unveiled at MWC, which begins in late February. However, the premium Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro devices’ global release has been confirmed. According to rumours on Chinese websites, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be available in Xiaomi’s home market in late March or early April. However, it is unknown whether the flagship will appear everywhere at the same time.
So far, information on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra suggests that it will feature a quad-camera setup with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 50-megapixel primary camera. All four cameras could have PDAF autofocus, and the primary camera could support gimbal optimization. It could have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and 500GB/1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
