For 2023, Samsung’s best mid-range phone in the series may be the Galaxy A54 5G. According to rumors, a Galaxy A74 may not be released this year. Indeed, there hasn’t been any recent news on this front. The Galaxy A54 5G is as real as a previously unannounced phone can be, and the only thing standing between it and potential customers is a formal launch. The documents confirm at least one worthwhile upgrade over the predecessor for the phone, which recently passed through the FCC. Follow For More Updates at satiknews.com

The phone appeared at the FCC with the model number SM-A546E / SM-A546E/DS, indicating that it supports two SIM cards. The use of a 25W charger appears to confirm that the Galaxy A54 5G has 25W charging capabilities for its ostensibly larger 5,100mAh battery, even though the FCC, as usual, doesn’t go into details about most internal hardware.

Wi-Fi 6 connectivity is coming back with the Galaxy A54 5G

Although the Galaxy A52s 5G’s Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset enabled Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, the Galaxy A53 5G, which came out six months later, did not due to its Exynos 1280 SoC.

Thankfully, the most recent FCC application confirms that Wi-Fi 6 connectivity will return to the cherished A5x series with the Galaxy A54 5G. In case you were wondering, online benchmarks show that the Exynos 1380 chipset, a replacement for the 1280-series with better performance and undoubtedly better connectivity features, is what powers the Galaxy A54 5G.

If things continue as they are, the Galaxy A54 5G should be available fairly soon, though probably not as soon as the Galaxy S23 flagship series. The latter is slated to be revealed on February 1 and Samsung is taking reservations online. While this is going on, Samsung’s Galaxy A54 5G could launch in March if they stick to their 12-month launch plan for the A53 successor.
