According to a news release from Thornton Police, the two victims who were discovered dead at the scene were a married couple who had formerly belonged to the Kingdom Hall congregation.

The names of the dead would eventually be verified, according to the police, by the coroner for Adams County. The Hazardous Material Unit of the Adams County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating any suspicious items found at the scene, and as part of the ongoing investigation, investigators are speaking with witnesses.

The Thornton Police Department confirmed Sunday night that three “incendiary devices” had been found there. The Adams County Hazardous Material Unit reportedly helped with their collection and safe-keeping, according to the Thornton Police Department. They made no mention of the specific incendiary device types or locations that were found.

According to the police, there are “no new concerns for the safety of the Thornton community.” Thornton can be reached by travelling about 10 miles from downtown Denver.

At a Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall outside of Denver, Colorado, on Sunday, a man reportedly shot and killed his wife. On Christmas Day, around 9 a.m., the Thornton, Colorado, police department received a call about a fire at the hall, according to a news release issued on Sunday.

Authorities learned afterwards that a guy had killed a woman there by shooting her. Officials claim that the individual later killed himself. They had been members of Kingdom Hall before getting married.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office in Colorado was investigating what was being referred to as “weird devices” that were found at the hall. Police concealed the identification of the guy and woman.

Authorities asserted that there was no immediate threat to the community before establishing the facts of the alleged gunfire.
