Huawei is slated to launch the Nova 12 line of smartphones in China on December 26. Recent sources have revealed important information about the Nova 12 Ultra smartphone. It is rumored that it will use an underclocked version of the Kirin 9000s processor, which powers the Mate 60 series. As a result, it is expected to support two-way satellite communication. A recent Weibo leak not only provides the first glimpse at the rumored Nova 12 Pro’s front design, but also verifies several of its major characteristics, including its upgraded chipset. What’s intriguing about the leak is that it cites the gadget being powered by the new Kirin 8000, which has yet to be released. Furthermore, the image shows that the gadget has 12 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and a Hi1105 NFC chip.

Tipster Digital Chat Station also revealed some information on the Nova 12 Pro. He claimed that the gadget features a 6.78-inch display panel and that the Kirin 8000 chip will perform worse than the chip that drives the Ultra edition. The Nova 12 Pro’s remaining specifications may be similar to those of the Ultra model.

As a result, the Pro model is rumored to include a dual selfie camera system with 60-megapixel (primary) and 8-megapixel (portrait, 2x zoom). The device’s back panel will include a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.4-f/4.0 physical variable aperture. Like the Ultra variant, the gadget may include a 4,600mAh battery with 100W charging. While the Pro and Ultra variants will have 5G support, the Nova 12 and Nova 12 Lite (Vitality Edition) are expected to include a 4G Snapdragon processor.
