Officials state that toxicology testing will determine whether drugs or alcohol were involved, even though there are no obvious signs of these substances at the site, while the police investigation continues. Important roads from Richmond, the George Massey Tunnel and the Oak Street Bridge, saw 142 and 128 crashes, respectively.
There were casualties in about 36% of these occurrences. Notably, there were 127 collisions at the Garden City Road and Westminster Highway crossing, 52 of which resulted in injuries. There were 114 crashes near Alderbridge Way and Garden City Road, 42 of which resulted in casualties.
There were eleven1 crashes at the intersection of Knight Street, the Knight Street Bridge, and Bridgeport Road, which includes the Bridgeport Road off- and on-ramps.
