Display supply chain analyst Ross Young claims in a tweet shared with his devoted followers that Apple would incorporate MicroLED in the Apple Watch with a launch in the spring of 2025. The display technology would offer a better pixel density on the small display and is an improvement over OLED.
MicroLED has better brightness and crispness than OLED, which are its advantages. While both technologies are capable of near-infinite contrast and extreme local dimming, the MicroLED panel will have significantly greater control over the projected information.
