The new ThinkBook Wireless Dock can wirelessly charge standard-compliant notebooks like the ThinkBook 13x Gen 2. Power-by-Contact technology is used in the wireless docking station, which can provide up to 65W wireless charging for compatible notebooks. The charging dock also functions as a wireless charging pad for smartphones, with a pad on the side providing up to 10W wireless charging for mobile phones.
Simultaneously, the docking station has an intelligent detection function that can determine whether the notebook is properly placed on it. This is done to ensure that the Power-by-Contact is operating at full power. It makes use of Wi-Fi 6 to ensure that the Power-by-Contact connection is as strong as possible. Lenovo has not yet announced a price or a release date for the ThinkBook Wireless Dock. When the ThinkBook 13x Gen 2 is released, we expect the product to be available.
