Launch of the Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro and RedMagic 8 Pro+ with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and up to 165W quick charging

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Nubia RedMagic has unveiled the RedMagic 8 Pro and RedMagic 8 Pro+, two gaming smartphones, in China in an effort to draw in mobile gamers. The smartphones are the RedMagic 7 Pro and RedMagic 7S Pro’s replacements from the previous year. Follow For More Updates at

The newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset powers both smartphones, making them the first gaming smartphones to use the new flagship SoC. The smartphones offer an under-display camera, so they do not have a hole-punch cutout or notch at the top. The 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB storage options for the Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro are each priced at CNY 3,999 (about Rs 47,525), CNY 4,399 (roughly Rs 52,278), and CNY 4,799 (roughly Rs 57,025), respectively. Additionally, the smartphone comes in a translucent colour option with 12GB+256GB of internal storage. It is priced at CNY 4,999, which is roughly Rs 59,401.

For the base 12GB+256GB storage option, the Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro+ costs CNY 5,199 (about Rs 61,785). A 16GB+512GB model costs CNY 5,799 (approx Rs 68,914). The smartphone is also available with a transparent back and three storage options. Prices for the 12GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB models are CNY 5,399 (about Rs 64,159), CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs 71,289), and CNY 6,999, respectively (approx Rs 83,169).

Both smartphones’ 6.8-inch Full HD+ OLED displays have a 120Hz refresh rate, a 960Hz touch sampling rate, and a maximum brightness of 1300 nits. In both devices, 520Hz shoulder triggers are housed in a flat frame. A 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera are all part of their triple rear camera arrangement. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset powers the new RedMagic 8 Pro and RedMagic 8 Pro+ smartphones from Nubia. An air duct and an updated internal cooling system, known as ICE 11.0, are built-in. Up to 10 layers of heat-dissipating materials and a 3D ice-grade twin pump are used in the cooling system to reduce the temperature by 16 degrees.
