A list of compatible devices available worldwide that would get the HyperOS update in Q1, 2024 was announced by Xiaomi last month. The POCO F5 (review) is now the most recent device to receive the OS update. Users of the smartphone in India attest to the fact that the Xiaomi sub-brand is really spreading the update there. As was previously mentioned, the HyperOS upgrade is also being received by the less expensive Redmi 12C.

The POCO F5 HyperOS upgrade is now available in India.

Images of Fonarena and tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore’s POCO F5 units running the HyperOS update have been posted. The firmware version of the update is 1.0.5.0.UMRINXM. The file is fairly huge, weighing in at 5GB. Therefore, it is recommended that users download it over WiFi or a reliable internet connection.

The December 2023 security patch is also included, according to the update changelog. It is important to remember that the most recent OS update is being released gradually, so it may take some time for your device to receive it.

The most recent version of HyperOS is also built on Android 14. Recall that Android 13 was pre-installed on the POCO F5 right out of the box. Now running on HyperOS, it is the second smartphone in the Xiaomi sub-brand’s lineup. The POCO X6 Pro made its debut as the company’s first phone to come pre-installed with its most recent operating system.

VoNR support for Jio users may be found in the POCO F5’s HyperOS update changelog. More resources are released and memory is used more effectively thanks to the improved memory management engine. In addition to the above, there are new animations, a redesigned weather app, simplified notifications, a multi-window multitasking interface, lock screen personalization options, and graphic enhancements.
