The TV show is described as “following Kratos, the God of Battle, who, after exiling himself from his blood-soaked past in ancient Greece, hangs up his weapons forever in the Norse realm of Midgard” in the press release. “After his beloved wife passes away, Kratos embarks on a perilous trek with his estranged son to scatter her ashes from the highest mountain, fulfilling his wife’s final wish.

Kratos immediately understands that the journey is actually an epic adventure hidden in plain sight, one that can test the connections between father and son and inspire Kratos to fight new Gods and monsters for the fate of the world. For the latest news, follow us on Google News

Overall, God of Battle represents yet another effort on Sony’s part to increase the appeal of its numerous PlayStation products. Sony is currently working on live-action TV shows for God of Battle, Horizon Zero Daybreak, The Final of Us, and Twisted Metallic. Along with Uncharted, which was released in theatres last year and was immediately announced by Sony to be the start of a whole new film franchise for the company.

Sony will only continue to produce new games on the PlayStation 5, but it’s clear that the company is trying hard to diversify and increase the reach of its IP outside of the online game medium.
