On January 10, Honor will present its newest products, the much awaited Honor Magic 6 smartphone series and the Magic OS 8.0 operating system, at a two-day event in China. We’re still a few weeks away from the formal launch, but leaks have given us an idea of what to expect.
The Honor Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro renders were posted by @Rodent950, who is the source of the most recent leak. The three cameras on both phones are positioned in a triangular shape and have a sleek design. The camera module bears an inscription reading 100x, which suggests that one of the lenses is a periscope telephoto lens.
Furthermore, a test was recently carried out by a Weibo tech analyst to compare the Huawei Mate 60 Pro with Honor’s Satellite Communication function. The preliminary findings indicate that the Magic 6 Pro may have a slight advantage over its competitor in a few crucial areas.
Initially, the Honor Magic 6 Pro discovered satellite connections a great deal quicker than the Mate 60 Pro, doing away with the requirement for additional direction measurements prior to communication. Furthermore, unlike the Huawei phone, which disconnects after five minutes, the Honor phone lets you talk on the phone for longer periods of time. Even though Huawei was the pioneer in the satellite SMS market, Honor looks like a potential front-runner in this rapidly developing space.
We recently discussed a leak pertaining to the Magic 6 series’ camera configuration as well. It implies that the Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro are said to have a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50H primary camera and a 50-megapixel OV50M ultra-wide lens as part of their back camera configuration. While the Pro variant is expected to contain a Samsung HP3 camera sensor, the Magic 6 is said to include a 50-megapixel OV50M camera sensor for telephoto shots.
